As a second year med student it is easy to get lost in the diagnostic process when you lack clinical experience…however, I find this book super helpfuol when trying to grasp how to integrate systems with basics science knowledge. It is not going to tell you anything about how to approach a patient, but leave that to the pocket medince book by Mass Gen.

This book is really smaller, faster and smarter. All differential diagnoses and their labs are included. And it works. Good job!

Very handy and powerful. All differential diagnoses are in a very small form factor. Contains a list of over 800 symptoms, abnormal findings and physical signs. Even all relevant laboratory tests and their differential diagnoses are included. For students, residents, nurses and all other healthcare professionals. I use this book several times a day and really can recommend it.

As a doctor I would say the book is excellent. Even though this is not a teaching book, it gives you a complete overview of all relevant DD. The book does not help you to differ, which DD are the most relevant and which are not. But if there is a question, look inside, think and you will not miss any important DD. So this is good for students as well. That much information in such a small book: 5 stars!

This is really an amazing book. The differential diagnoses are very easy to interpret, and there is a wealth of information about all the common diseases seen in a hospital setting. As already mentioned, all relevant labs and their DDx are included as well. As an Internal Medicine resident, I would give it 2 thumbs up. An essential pocket book to carry around. Smaller, faster and smarter.
